I am Ryoto Ishimura, the owner of Italian Shokudo Ryo’s.
Our journey began with a simple yet heartfelt desire—to serve warm and lovingly prepared pasta, just like the dishes cherished in Italian homes. Time has flown by, and it has already been 14 years since we first opened our doors.
After graduating from high school, I began my career in an Italian restaurant. Though I started as an inexperienced waiter, I soon found joy in making customers happy. Over time, I had the opportunity to gain experience in the kitchen as well. These experiences became the foundation of both our service and cuisine at Ryo’s. Later, I traveled to Italy, where I experienced firsthand the warmth of pasta as a part of home-cooked meals.
I wanted to create a place where people could enjoy pasta and pizza more casually—not just a restaurant focused on taste, but a warm and welcoming space where family and friends could gather. To bring this vision to life, I renovated a building, transforming it into a cozy, comfortable place for the local community. My goal was to create an environment where customers could not only enjoy a meal but also spend pleasant and memorable moments, making them want to return again and again.
At Ryo’s, we incorporate hospitality, warmth, and communication, drawing from years of experience in the hotel industry. Our interior and layout are designed to evoke the coziness of home, featuring a relaxed atmosphere that makes guests feel at ease. In addition to table and counter seating, we have a traditional Japanese-style room, making our space accommodating for families and various customer needs.
Our Japanese-style sauce is not merely a seasoning but a well-crafted dish in itself. By combining traditional Japanese flavors with Italian cuisine, we have developed a unique Japanese-style pasta that has been loved by many of our customers.
Our menu is centered around pasta, driven by our wish to offer the local community an easy and enjoyable way to experience Italian cuisine. We take great care in using homemade bread and fresh ingredients, emphasizing handcrafted quality and warmth. In the evening, we offer a diverse selection of dishes beyond pasta, making our restaurant a perfect place for special occasions. Our aim is to provide a space where guests can truly relax and enjoy their time.
With only 30 seats, our restaurant remains small and intimate, allowing us to create a warm and homely atmosphere. We strive to be a place loved by the local community, offering a welcoming space where everyone feels at home.
